Also a small note to parents and players re-conduct, this is meant to be fun and with so many junior referees it is important that everyone respect the calls made by the referees. We are so lucky to have so many step up and we wish to encourage them. In addition coaching from the sidelines is to be positive and students are to be respectful to there team and the opposition. I know we have started strong in all these areas and I wish us to finish in the same way.
Also I have a first aid kit on me and there is one in the clubrooms.
See you all Friday 🏉

BAY WAVE TRIP REMINDER – Be at school Thursday at 8.15 am
Mon Nov 16 10:33pmBAY WAVE TRIP REMINDER
Hub 2 and 3
This Thursday (19/11) we head off on our big trip. You will need to be at school by 8.15am ready to leave by 8.30. Bus children may need to be brought to school that day.
If your child gets travel sick, please ensure they have taken any medication they need and inform the class teacher.
LUNCH – Please bring a water bottle, morning tea and lunch.
Remember – Togs and Towel (all items to be named)
Children may wear mufti but make sure clothes are named.
Thank you to all the parents who offered to come with us. We did have to move some parents around to make sure we were fully covered. If you think we have left you off please contact us. If your circumstances have changed and you can no longer come, we need to know NOW so arrangements can be made.
While parents are free to swim and use the wave pool, we are asking parents to refrain from using the hydro slide. 150 children is a lot to get through on the slide and we would appreciate the help on the floor more.
We will be leaving Mt Maunganui by 1.30 pm in the hope that we are back by 3 pm for the buses. If you are able to pick your children up that would help but if you can’t we will do our very best to make sure we are back in time. If not we will make sure your children get home.
If there are any questions please contact your child’s teacher.
Thank you
Megan Paul

Reminder – Tonights ONLINE SAFETY INFO EVENING FOR PARENTS
Tue Nov 10 03:07amONLINE SAFETY INFORMATION EVENING FOR PARENTS
This is a final reminder to our parents of the Online Safety InformationEvening to be held in our school hall tonight, Tuesday 10 November starting at 7.00pm.
This evening is designed to help adults to understand the dangers and harm that can be caused to children in the online world they come into contact with. It will help parents approach the difficult topics to discuss with their child at different ages in order to keep their children safe online.
Do you know what apps, games, social media platforms your child is using??
Do you know who they are communicating with online??
Is the person really who they say they are??
If you would like to bring a friend who may be a parent at another school, you are welcome to invite them along.
I look forward to seeing our parents tonight.

Online Safety Evening – Tonight – Tuesday 10th November 7PM TAPS
Mon Nov 09 10:50pmONLINE SAFETY INFORMATION EVENING
As advertised in our school newsletter over the past few weeks this information evening is scheduled to take place TONIGHT Tuesday 10 November at 7pm in our school hall.
This is a must for every parent who wants to keep their child safe online.
Zareen Sheikh Cope and her husband Rob will share their journey of navigating the dangers of the internet and how they came to be touring the country to alert parents to the dangerous sites lurking on the internet which parents aren’t even aware of, but which our children are using.
Rob and Zareen have made and released a documentary to educate parents, caregivers, teachers, and other professionals, working with children on the potential harms being caused to children due to exposure to pornography online and grooming by online predators – ‘Our Kids Online: Porn, Predators & How to Keep Them Safe’.
This evening is about educating you, our parents and caregivers, about knowing what children are watching and who they are communicating with online.
We would love to have you join us for this evening. See the attached flyer for further information.
Please complete the reply slip in the school newsletter or phone the office to let us know that you will be attending
